The Testimony of JESUS

LESSON 12: THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS

Ahab, the idol-worshiping despot of Israel,

wanted to reclaim Ramoth Gilead from the hands of the Syrians,

and he needed a capable ally.

So, Ahab asked the godly king Jehoshaphat of Judah

to combine forces against the common enemy.

Jehoshaphat replied, signifying his willingness to help,

but on the condition that they must first ask the Lord.

As for Ahab, he had long since turned from the Lord

to follow after Baal, an abominable pagan god.

So he summoned 400 “prophets” of Baal

to inquire whether he should attack Ramoth Gilead.

Before the two kings, these false prophets all declared unanimously

as if they are the kind that actually know something others don’t:

“Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.” [11] I Kings 22:6.

But Jehoshaphat insisted

that a true prophet of the one true God be heard.

Ahab reluctantly revealed that there was still one left, named Michaiah.

“But I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil”, he sulked ([11] I Kings 22:8).

However, before Jehoshaphat’s decided request,

Ahab reluctantly sent his officer out to “pick up” Michaiah.

And the brave prophet had plainly declared

the inevitable fate of the apostate king:

Ahab SHALL FALL in the coming battle with the Syrians

– if he’s foolish enough to engage it

while being willfully disobedient against God

and living under His frown.

Thus the king of Israel had to stand before a difficult choice:

shall he believe the smooth sayings of the 400 false prophets,

or the hard saying of one lone true prophet of God?

After a few moments of hesitation,

the despot decided still to harden his heart, head and neck,

leaving no opening left for the Lord to spare his wicked life.

God allowing him to listen to the terrible warning of His prophet

was Ahab’s last chance,

and he had spat on it.

He even persuaded king Jehoshaphat

to ignore the prophet’s warning

and join forces with him in the coming battle.

Not only so, he even dared to presume

that he can prevail against the Almighty

by disguising himself, wearing heavy armor,

and standing far behind with the rear troops.

And by the time Ahab realized

how utterly foolish sins had turned him to be,

to go head-on against the sure Word of God,

it was already too late.

Amidst the chaotic battle, one single stray arrow flew toward Ahab

and pierced right through a joint of the heavy armor he was wearing,

and this very armor, together with the heat of the battle,

helped preventing Ahab from providing simple first-aid to such a small wound,

and bled him dead right on his chariot.

Our Lord JESUS had clearly warned that in the last days,

this world will be packed with false prophets ([01] Matthew 24:11).

That’s why we have to learn how to distinguish

between a true prophet and a false one.

This is a life-and-death issue,

because believing a false prophet,

or rejecting a true prophet of God,

will both lead to disastrous results all the same.

1. Is it true that the Lord will give His “remnant” church at least a prophet before His return?

[27] Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman,

and went to make war with the remnant of her seed,

which keep the commandments of God,

and have the testimony of JESUS.

[27] Revelation 19:10 …I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of JESUS:

worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

[27] Revelation 22:9 …I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets.

“The Testimony of JESUS” is “the spirit of prophecy”.

The apostle John and his brethren were called “prophets”.

This plain, straight-up, right-to-the-face explanation of the term

that John recorded in the very same book of [27] Revelation

immediately eliminates all other misinterpretations.

The “remnant” of the seed of the woman

will have in it “the spirit of prophecy”,

meaning it will have at least one prophet in its midst.

Before the terrible day of JESUS’s return

to put an end to this wicked world,

and set up a new world where sins and sinners no longer exist,

He will give the remnant church at least one prophet,

to help prepare His people for the grand finale of the history of mankind.

Please also notice that in this history,

besides the male prophets have also risen female prophets, or prophetesses,

like Anna the prophetess in [03] Luke 2:36.

This spiritual office is not a respecter of genders.

The very first identification of this prophet would be:

that person will “keep the commandments of God”,

which of course, include the fourth commandment about keeping the Sabbath holy (from sunset friday to sunset saturday).

All those who claim to be a prophet,

yet do not do this and/or teach others incorrectly about this issue,

can be immediately classified as false prophets.

2. Is being able to perform signs and wonders a definite proof of a true prophet?

[01] Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,

and shall shew great signs and wonders,

insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Obviously not.

Signs and wonders are only proofs of supernatural power,

which can come from the Lord, or from the devil.

When Moses faced Pharaoh,

and the Lord performed sign after sign through him,

the sorcerers of Pharaoh had retaliated by Satan’s dark magic.

Just because someone can perform signs and wonders

doesn’t mean that person is of the Lord.

Even the miracle of giving life

– the power that belongs only to the Lord ([27] Revelation 1:18)

and Satan is powerless to perform,

he can still counterfeit it with an illusion,

like when he supposedly turned some dead rods into living snakes

before Pharaoh and Moses in [02] Exodus 7:11-12,

faking even the signature power of the Creator:

the power of turning dead things into living things.

So unless the dead was certified with absolute certainty to be dead

and when raised back to life can be checked

to really be a living being once more, like in the case of Lazarus,

the possibility of it being an illusion of Satan to deceive

cannot be entirely ruled out.

Lord JESUS told us that in the last days,

the false Christs and false prophets will not only be numerous,

but some of them can even perform signs and wonders by the power of Satan.

This is why we have to put them all to the test.

3. So after the keeping of the commandments of God,

what is the second test to distinguish a true prophet from the false?

[23] Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony:

if they speak not according to this word,

it is because there is no light in them.

“The law and the testimony” is the Old Testament term for “the Bible”.

In other words, all messages from whosoever claims to be a prophet of God

must be compared with Scriptures.

We are to use the Holy Bible to check the prophet,

not the supposed prophet to check the Bible.

All true prophets will always agree 100% with the Word of God.

This is the most important test.

[07] I Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

Meaning, a true prophet would ALWAYS agree

to be cross-checked by other prophets.

If one professes to be a prophet,

yet lifts himself up above the other prophets

and refuses to be cross-checked by their writings (the Bible),

that person can immediately be identified as a false prophet.

“The prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” [05] Deuteronomy 18:22.

Whoever is claiming to be a prophet,

do you think you can survive this one test?

Do you know what God had in store for liars,

even those who dare to lie IN HIS NAMES?

Unless you repent thoroughly

and do your absolute best to counteract the evils you have spoken and done,

know that there will be no Heaven for you.

Be thou then fearful, tremble before God and repent!

4. What is the third test for a prophet?

[23] I John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:

Every spirit that confesseth that JESUS Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

[04] John 3:29, 30 This my joy therefore is fulfilled.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

A true prophet of God must always acknowledge

and teach the truths about JESUS Christ

– that He really is the Only Begotten Son of God, who came in the flesh.

True prophets also always seek to exalt the Lord,

considering that to be their highest joy,

and never seek to exalt themselves.

Meanwhile, the false prophets

always seek to draw men’s attention to themselves and their ideas,

contrary to the plain Word of God,

to depart from the Bible.

5. What is the fourth test for a prophet?

[01] Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Of course this doesn’t mean that prophets are perfect saints.

On the contrary, the prophets of God have often made very stupid mistakes:

Moses lost his cool and dishonored the Lord at Meribah,

Elijah was scared off by a woman to run for his life,

Jonah sought to run away from God…

However, at the very least, there usually is a certain consistency

between what prophets teach and their own lives.

6. What is the fifth test for a prophet?

[24] Jeremiah 28:9 When the word of the prophet shall come to pass,

then shall the prophet be known, that YHWH hath truly sent him.

It is true that in ordinary communications,

prophets can make mistakes just like an ordinary human being,

like the prophet Nathan in [10] II Samuel 7.

When king David talked about building a temple for the Lord,

Nathan had innocently replied with all honesty of heart:

“Go, do all that is in thine heart; for YHWH is with thee” ([10] II Samuel 7:3),

only to be immediately sent back by God to David

to tell him that it is David’s son who will build the temple, and not him.

However, when simply relating the knowledge

that the Lord had imparted for the training and warning of the people,

a true prophet will always prophesy accurately.

The prophetic messages and visions of the future received from the Lord,

very rarely would be altered or retracted by Him

like in the case of Jonah and the city of Nineveh,

when the Lord had declared the city doomed for imminent destruction for its crimes,

but then the people of the city trembled at His declaration and repented of their sins,

and the Lord changed His mind, and did not destroy it.

Even so, be very mindful that being able to prophesy accurately

is not enough for a definite proof that the person is a true prophet.

[05] Deuteronomy 13:1-3 warned that sometimes

God will allow the signs and sayings of the false prophets to come to pass,

to test the love and loyalty of His people.

These deceivers, after pulling off some certain signs,

will start to draw the people from the Bible and from the Lord.

Meanwhile, a true prophet will always seek

to lead men to serve the Lord accurately as the Bible dictates.

7. What are the three things that the apostle Paul instructed us to do

when we encounter prophetic messages which are yet unclear to be true or false?

[13] I Thessalonians 5:20, 21 Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things;

hold fast that which is good.

The apostle Paul instructed us not to despise, or take lightly, prophesyings.

Instead, we are to actively check what we hear by the Bible

to identify that which is good and true to obey.

8. Who are we rejecting when we reject a true prophet?

[03] Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers

rejected the counsel of God against themselves,

being not baptized of him (prophet John the baptist).

[14] II Chronicles 20:20 Believe in YHWH your God, so shall ye be established;

believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Obviously, most of the messages that God sent to men

were given through the instrumentality of the prophets He had chosen.

Thus, rejecting a true prophet is rejecting God Himself.

We can see how the very nation of Israel was devastated

after they rejected the prophets that God sent them.

On the contrary, receiving true prophets

and obeying the loving instructions that God had sent through them

will position us in His abundant blessings,

and more importantly, fortify our relationship with Him.

9. Who then is one called the prophet of the Last True Church?

How does that person fare before the tests?

In December 1844, when a group of Methodist young women

were kneeling in prayers in Portland, Maine,

Ellen Harmon, a 17-year-old girl with failing health,

received her first vision.

When Ellen (who later on became Ellen White

when she married pastor James White)

related to other people what the Lord had revealed unto her,

she continued to receive more visions

throughout the next 70 years afterward,

until she passed away in 1915.

Just like what happened to the prophets in the Bible,

there were fascinating supernatural phenomena

that happened to Ellen White when she received visions.

Like the prophet Daniel, she ceased to breathe during the visions,

and was often strengthless at the beginning of them ([27] Daniel 10:8, 17).

Some visions lasted for four hours,

but she did not breathe at all during the entire time.

Doctors had directly checked her,

even with a mirror held before her face

to catch any steam if she breathed even a little,

and had to acknowledge that she indeed did not breathe during the vision.

On other occasions, she received incredible physical strength ([27] Daniel 10:18, 19).

Although she only weighed about 43 kilograms (around 95 pounds),

witnesses testified that they had seen her

holding a massive Bible about 8 kilograms with one hand

in an arm-stretched-out position

throughout the 30 minutes in the vision.

These phenomena prove that a supernatural power

was behind what happened to Ellen White.

It’s just that supernatural power can come both from the Lord and from Satan,

so we need to put her to the test and find out the truth,

whether she is of the Lord or not.

Applying the five tests for prophets

Let us examine the life and ministry of Ellen White and see whether she passed the tests to really qualify as a true prophet of the Lord.

The first test – the Ten Commandments of God.

As a founder of the Seventh-day Adventist church,

one of the primary messages of Ellen White

obviously is the obedience to the Ten Commandments of God,

which includes the seventh day Sabbath of the fourth commandment.

Although after she passed away,

the church had adopted the doctrine of the trinity

and on an organizational level had been transgressing the first commandment

of not having other gods besides the Lord,

Ellen White remains the only prophet in modern history

to keep and teach the people to keep the Ten Commandments of God accurately.

Take a look at her inspired counsels,

teaching the people how to observe the Sabbath,

and see how wonderful and well-rounded they are:

“On Friday let the preparation for the Sabbath be completed.

See that all the clothing is in readiness and that all the cooking is done.

Let the boots be blacked and the baths be taken.

It is possible to do this.

If you make it a rule you can do it.

The Sabbath is not to be given to the repairing of garments,

to the cooking of food, to pleasure seeking,

or to any other worldly employment.

Before the setting of the sun let all secular work be laid aside

and all secular papers be put out of sight.

Parents, explain your work and its purpose to your children,

and let them share in your preparation

to keep the Sabbath according to the commandment.” {6T 355.3}

“No cooking should be done on that day.

The instruction which God gave to Israel should not be disregarded:

“Bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe;”

for “tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord.” Ex. 16:23.

God meant what he said when he gave these directions;

and shall we, who are presenting to the people the claims of the divine law,

break that law ourselves, merely to please the appetite? — God forbid.

There has sometimes been

almost as much cooking done on the Sabbath as on other days;

and the blessing of God has been shut out

by our failure to honor him in keeping the Sabbath

according to the commandment.” {Manuscript 8, 1882}

“While cooking upon the Sabbath should be avoided,

it is not necessary to eat cold food.

In cold weather let the food prepared the day before be heated.

And let the meals, though simple, be palatable and attractive.

Provide something that will be regarded as a treat,

something the family do not have every day.” {6T 357.3}

“We want palatable, healthful food every day of the week;

but upon the Sabbath, let your cook have her day of rest,

in the place of cooking for a family.

Let every provision be made on Friday.” {Review and Herald, June 8, 1897}

Regarding the time of the Sabbath,

she not only identified it correctly to be the seventh day of the week instead of the first day,

but also managed to pinpoint that it started at sunset friday weekly,

instead of mistaking the start time to be sunrise saturday

like some false prophets who knew about the sabbath

but were still mistaken about its time

(like the false Christ Ahn Sang Hong and the so-called “god the mother” Zhang Gil-jah).

In the book Spiritual Gifts vol. 2, page 75-76 for example,

Ellen White had presented this point of her faith very clearly:

“Bro. N. asked if I could relate my message in Boston,

and if they would hear, and then judge.

‘Yes,’ said they. ‘Come into Boston next Sabbath,

we would like the privilege of hearing her.’

Accordingly we designed to visit Boston,

but IN THE EVENING, at THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE SABBATH,

I was shown in vision that we must not go into Boston,

but in an opposite direction to Randolph;

that the Lord had a work for us to do there.”

In fact, ALL those who were proclaimed to be “prophets” in modern times,

except Ellen White,

had outright failed this very first test,

making her alone remain the only possible candidate

to be the prophet of the Last True Church.

But let us put her through the remaining tests

and see how well she stands them.

The second test – ABSOLUTE harmony with the Bible

Read any books of Ellen White, and you can easily see

that she constantly sought to lead others to the Bible,

and everything she said harmonizes perfectly with the Sacred texts.

And even when she had reached that level as a writer,

she never considered her writings to be equal or superior to the Bible.

Their entire purpose is to call the people of God

to return to the Word of God,

to take it as absolute truth coming from Him.

Check out some of her own statements

about the Bible being the ONLY rule of faith:

{Ellen G. White – The Great Controversy, page 204.2}

“In our time there is a wide departure from their doctrines and precepts,

and there is need of a return to the great Protestant principle

—the Bible, and the Bible only, as the rule of faith and duty.”

{Ellen G. White – Testimonies for the Church vol. 2, page 605} she also wrote:

“The written testimonies are not to give new light,

but to impress vividly upon the heart

the truths of inspiration already revealed.

Man’s duty to God and to his fellow man

has been distinctly specified in God’s word;

yet but few of you are obedient to the light given.

Additional truth is not brought out;

but God has through the Testimonies simplified the great truths already given

and in His own chosen way brought them before the people

to awaken and impress the mind with them,

that all may be left without excuse.”

Although Ellen White repeatedly stressed

that what she wrote are not to be considered

as an equal part of the Bible,

they nevertheless are filled with the inspiration of God.

Many of His greatest prophets,

like John the Baptist for example, were inspired by God,

but did not write a single book in the Bible.

What Ellen White wrote can be considered as a small light

that leads to the great light, the Bible.

The Bible as a written document still holds the supreme doctrinal authority.

And the testimonies that JESUS gave through His prophet

are there as an inspired commentary of the Bible,

that exposes all twisted expositions of the Word

and point out the straight, plain and accurate interpretations of the Bible regarding each doctrine,

to put an end to all the doctrinal quarrels

of those who deliberately twisted the Scriptures to reject Biblical truths.

In fact, it is not because she taught anything amiss,

but because of the very straightness and irrefutable accuracy of these testimonies

that those who refuse to give up their errors

would refuse also the prophet of the Lord,

and then forbid others to even mention her

and the testimonies that the Lord had her write down for the people.

{Ellen G. White, Testimonies for the church, vol. 4, page 245.3}

“When brethren manifest the spirit of the dragon,

to make war upon those who believe

that God has communicated light and comfort to them through the Testimonies,

it is time for the brethren and sisters

to assert their liberty and perfect freedom of conscience.

God has given them light,

and it is THEIR PRIVILEGE to cherish the light

and to speak of it to strengthen and encourage one another.”

The third test – Teaching the truths about JESUS Christ accurately

The books of Ellen White

– like The Desire of Ages,

Christ’s Object Lessons,

Steps to Christ

and Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings

all testify that she had passed this test with flying colors.

In all her works, she never sought to exalt herself, but lead others to Christ.

The fourth test – A godly life

The press, commenting on the death of Mrs. White, said:

“The life of Mrs. White is an example worthy of emulation by all…

She was a humble, devout disciple of Christ, and ever went about doing good…

She was honored and respected

by all who appreciate noble womanhood consecrated to unselfish labor

for the uplifting and betterment of mankind.

Her death marks the calling of another noted leader of religious thought

and one whose almost ninety years were full to overflowing

with good deeds, kind words, and earnest prayers for all mankind.”

{Star (St. Helena, California), July 23, 1915.}

The fifth test – Accurate prophecies

A few prophecies about the future revealed through Ellen White can easily be confirmed.

These following predictions sound like the daily headlines of modern newspapers,

but they were declared even before modern transportation was invented.

{Ellen G. White – Messages to young people, page 89.2} (reprinted from the article in The Signs of the Times, April 21, 1890):

“Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent,

confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning

will occur on the great lines of travel.”

Ellen White lived during the time

when doctors were still prescribing cigarettes

as drugs for patients with respiratory issues,

and everyone was still thinking

that meat-eating is healthier than a vegan/vegetarian diet.

Many medical opinions existed,

but there were no scientific proofs whatsoever.

Modern nutritional science was not even born.

Yet Ellen White had written volumes of books about health and nutrition.

Doctor Clive McCay, former nutrition professor at Cornell university,

confirmed the accuracy of Ellen White’s writings in the field of nutrition thus:

“In spite of the fact that the works of Mrs. White were written

long before the advent of modern scientific nutrition,

no better overall guide is available today.”

{Clive M. McCay, “A Nutritional Authority Discusses Mrs. E.G. White,” Review and Herald, February 26, 1959, page 10}

Which shouldn’t be a surprise,

considering WHO spoke these things into her ears for her to write down.

Along with exposing all heresies

to cleanse the church from all falsehoods,

health reform is one of the main missions

that the Lord raised up Ellen White to fulfill,

to help shock His people back to a healthy enough condition

to finish their mission in this pre-apocalyptic age,

when the life force of men has been depreciated

more severely than all previous ages,

and the environment of planet earth

has waxen worse than ever.

The Bible has revealed to us that during the last days,

the gift of prophecy really would appear.

The evidence shows very clearly

that Ellen G. White passes all the tests for a true prophet with flying colors.

This ministry would like to invite you

to read some of the things she wrote

and apply the principles that the apostle Paul has laid down in Scriptures:

“Despise not prophesyings, prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” [13] I Thessalonians 5:20, 21.

Pay attention to this though:

look for the books that were personally written, read-through and approved by Ellen G. White herself before publication,

which are the ones published before she passed away in 1915.

The books that were edited after that time,

even when they “use the testimonies of Ellen G. White”,

obviously can not be read-through and certified by the prophetess

that they have presented the truths she was given accurately.

Especially, after Mrs. White passed away and the SDA church fell into apostasy

when they accepted the trinity doctrine,

they have continued to publish books quoting Mrs. White to take advantage of her credibility,

but were actually edited by them to promote this heresy.

One grand example would be the book “Evangelism” edited by Leroy E. Froom

– the one who infiltrated the trinity doctrine into the SDA church,

and is suspected to be a Jesuit spy of the Catholic church.

Now perhaps the Lord only knows how many falsehoods

have thus been inserted in these books.

Although they may contain lots of light

because they quoted a lot of Mrs. White’s writings,

but if you read them, watch out for the things contrary to the truths that she normally taught,

as she had admonished:

“The Bible, and the Bible only, as the rule of faith and duty.”

{Ellen G. White – The Great Controversy, page 204, 205}

When the Lord be willing, and he would give MTB ministry the books of Mrs. White

which were printed before she died

– the writings inspired by God and kept pure by Him –

MTB ministry will scan and translate them to other languages,

and then post both the scans and the translations online for all to see.

***Be very careful that even with the 50 books above,

the editions that are circulated nowadays might well have been edited

to support the trinity doctrine that the SDA church accepted after Mrs. White died.

We won’t be able to know for sure whether they are identical to the original editions

that were read-through and approved by Mrs. White,

until we can get our hands on the hard copies or their scans and double-check.

Therefore if readers would read these books,

be careful still of all the editions made by the Modern SDA church

to support the trinity doctrine.

Apart from that, reading these books would be very beneficial for spiritual development.

They are the treasure that the Lord has especially given to the Last True Church,

with which we can advance in one year

more than those without them in ten years!

Suffer not this great blessing to go to waste!

Appendix

I. Did Ellen White ever change her belief into believing in the trinity doctrine?

In the time of the SDA Pioneers,

the church as a denomination never accepted the doctrine of the trinity.

This fact is publicly acknowledged

even by the leaders of the Modern SDA church who believe in this heresy,

and clearly expressed in various documents and writings of the Pioneers,

like the “statements of beliefs” written in 1872,

or the “fundamental principles of the Seventh-day Adventists”

published in the church’s yearbook in 1889,

are so vastly different in this point

from the “28 fundamental beliefs” of the Modern SDA church,

as church historian George Knight of the Modern SDA church openly acknowledged:

“Most of the founders of Seventh-day Adventism

would not be able to join the church today

if they had to subscribe to the denomination’s Fundamental Beliefs.

More specifically, most would not be able to agree to belief number 2,

which deals with the doctrine of the Trinity.”

{Ministry, October, 1993, page 10}

However, the Modern SDA church,

after they have accepted the doctrine of the trinity,

has been reporting that the prophet Ellen G. White herself,

one of the founding Pioneers of the church,

has changed her belief and accepted this heresy

after she finished the book “the Desire of Ages” in 1898.

Is this witness that they are bearing about her true or false?

Let us see what Mrs.White has to say for herself:

{Ellen G. White, letter 150, May 15, 1906, par.9}

“I should be an unfaithful watchman, were I to hold my peace,

when I see the very foundations of our faith being torn away

by those who have departed from the faith, and who are now adrift, without an anchor.

In this time, when false doctrines are being taught,

we are to teach the same truth that we have taught for the past half century.

I have not changed my faith one jot or one tittle.

{Ellen G. White, letter 38, 1906}

“The evidence given in our early experience

has the same force that it had then.

The truth is the same as it ever has been,

and not a pin or a pillar can be moved from the structure of truth.

That which was sought for out of the Word in 1844, 1845, and 1846

remains the truth today in every particular.”

Both of these declarations were published in 1906,

way after the publish date of “the Desire of Ages” in 1898,

to the very last years of her life,

proving without a doubt that she had not changed her faith one jot or one tittle

throughout the previous half century.

Some Christians nowadays,

seeing that the Modern SDA church is in error in their trinity belief,

would assume that the prophet Ellen White also believed in this heresy

and therefore reject her.

But that is simply not true.

This ministry would recommend you to read her writings for yourself,

and seize for yourself the massive store of knowledge

that the Lord had given her to write down.

Only be careful of some edited places,

made to advocate the trinity doctrine,

and you’ll be fine.

{Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, December 3, 1908, par.2}

“No outward shrines may be visible,

there may be no image for the eye to rest upon;

yet we may be practising idolatry.

It is as easy to make an idol of cherished ideas

or objects as to fashion gods of wood or stone.

Thousands have a false conception of God and his attributes.

THEY ARE AS VERILY SERVING A FALSE GOD AS WERE THE SERVANTS OF BAAL.

II. Did the Lord forbid us to call the Modern Trinitarian SDA church Babylon?

There is a passage of Mrs. White,

that those who have abandoned the Pillars of Faith

which the Lord had established through the Pioneers of the SDA church,

but somehow still have the audacity to call themselves Seventh-day Adventists,

just love to quote to defend their fallen organization.

{Ellen G. White, Selected messages book 2, 63.2}

‘The Lord has not given you a message to call the Seventh-day Adventists Babylon,

and to call the people of God to come out of her.’

Question: were the Seventh-day Adventists

living in the time of Mrs. White,

whom she was protecting in this passage,

the Modern SDA who have abandoned the Pillars of Faith

to follow the god of the beast?

Or were they clearly Pioneeric Seventh-day Adventists, just like her?

Then who is it really, that are not permitted to call the other group Babylon?

III. The “three living persons of the heavenly trio” quote in the book “Evangelism” by Leroy E. Froom,

editing the writings of Ellen G. White to promote the trinity doctrine.

One of the most famous quotes that Leroy E. Froom twisted from the writings of Mrs. White

and inserted into the book “Evangelism” to promote the trinity doctrine,

is this:

{Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, pp. 62, 63. (1905)” {Evangelism, pp. 614, 615}}

‘There are three living persons of the heavenly trio;

in the name of these three great powers

–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit–

those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized,…’

The time when this quote was written is 1905.

This is the time at the end of the 1900-1905 period

when Mrs. White had to fight off a version of the trinity doctrine

trying to infiltrate the church

through a book called “Living Temple” by doctor Kellogg,

a very influential person in the church.

Just so you can grasp what happened back then more clearly,

here is a passage from the letter of A.G.Daniells,

a Pioneer of the SDA church who was serving as General Conference President,

sent to W. C. White, the son of Mrs. White:

{A. G. Daniells to W. C. White. October 29, 1903. pp. 1, 2}

‘Ever since the council closed

I have felt that I should write you confidentially

regarding Dr Kellogg’s plans for revising and republishing ‘The Living Temple’…

He told me that he now believed in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost

I placed before him the objections I found in the teaching,

and tried to show him that the teaching was so utterly contrary to the gospel

that I did not see how it could be revised by changing a few expressions.

We argued the matter at some length in a friendly way;

but I felt sure that when we parted,

the doctor did not understand himself, nor the character of his teaching.

And I could not see how it would be possible for him to flop over,

and in the course of a few days fix the books up so that it would be all right.”

According to A.G.Daniells, one of the greatest problems

that he is trying to report to W. C. White, the son of Mrs. White,

is that this doctor Kellogg has become a believer

in “God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost”,

and he was trying to spread his new beliefs in the church,

even twisting some quotes of Mrs. White taken out of context to promote his doctrine.

Once we understand the context of that time,

let us take a look at what Ellen G. White actually wrote:

how she handled her writings being twisted by others.

This is a photocopy scan of her manuscript,

right where Froom had taken the quote out:

It can be seen clearly: she did not say

“three living persons of the heavenly trio”,

but “the living three personalities of the heavenly trio”.

Some may be inclined to think that there is no difference

between “persons” and “personalities”, but there is.

“Persons” can be understood as “beings”,

OR different persons/personalities of the same being,

but if it has been fixed into “personalities”,

it can only be understood in the latter sense.

As we can see in the photo: it was “persons” at first,

but then she fixed it into “personalities”

so that no one could shuffle the meaning of the word she was using into “beings”,

to say that she taught the trinity doctrine,

the very thing that doctor Kellogg was doing with her writings

when publishing the Living Temple.

If these two words are the same,

she wouldn’t have to change it

to fix the meaning of the term she was trying to say.

And lo and behold, “three persons” and “three personalities” make a whole lot of a difference.

Both God and His Son, each has two persons/personalities:

the bodily person sitting on the throne of heaven,

and the spirit person that they project outside their bodies to anywhere they wish.

But their Spirit is not a third being that isn’t them,

but it is themselves in invisible spirit form.

If it wasn’t because the Spirit of God and the Spirit of His Son are just one and the same Holy Spirit,

even though there are only 2 beings here, we would have FOUR persons/personalities.

But instead, the Spirit of the Father is the very Spirit of the Son,

therefore there are only 3 persons/personalities, 2 beings,

among which are 1 God and 1 Son of God.

The edited quotes such as this that are discovered

are clear evidence for the existence of deception and unfaithfulness

among those who compile the writings of Ellen G. White since 1915,

warning us against any publication “using the words of the prophetess Ellen G. White”

that were compiled/edited after she died.

Obviously, they could not be read through and certified by her

to have accurately presented the points she was making.

Only the books that were published before she died,

with the actual paper book to cross-examine,

can be considered to be safe.

Readers beware: when you read to get the useful lights that were given,

be very careful with the trinity doctrine

that might be inserted in the books published after 1915,

and also those published before that time,

but were “edited and republished”.

IV. Letter 253 of Ellen G. White (to dr. Kellogg) – a direct response of the Spirit of Prophecy to the trinity doctrine.

Many people mistaken that Mrs. White never raised her voice

to directly condemn the trinity doctrine. Well, she did.

The next lesson will present one of the most important knowledge

that the Lord has ever given the church through the prophet Ellen G. Whie:

the history of the Devil himself

– how he had fallen from being the glorious angel Lucifer – the light bearer,

to become Satan – the adversary (of God).

Knowing well our arch-enemy and all his cunning trickery

is absolutely crucial for us to obtain victory against him in every matrix.

This is one of the lessons he does NOT want you to read the most.

So make sure to read it as soon as possible.
