I) Corruptions of Westcott-Hort compared to the original manuscript.<\/h2>\n

In this comparison, the Majority Text Bible translation will represent the Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Majority Text of the New Testament. [10] II Samuel 21:19<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew (*) of Goliath<\/strong> the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver\u2019s beam.<\/td>\n19 In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jair the Bethlehemite killed Goliath<\/strong> the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver\u2019s rod.<\/td>\nIn the original text, the verse only said that he slew of Goliath, without telling what specifically. However as we compare with [13] I Chronicles 20:5<\/strong><\/span>, we can see it stated clearly “Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother<\/b> of Goliath”, so many translations added “the brother” here to make the meaning more apparent. But some translations rendered this as “Elhanan killed Goliath”, which is false. The one who killed Goliath was king David. The later edition of the NIV seems to have fixed this error.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4. [19] Psalm 12:6-7<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
\n7 Thou shalt keep them<\/strong>, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them<\/strong> from this generation for ever.<\/td>\n		6 And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.
\n7 You, Lord, will keep the needy safe<\/strong>\u00a0and will protect us<\/strong> forever from the wicked.<\/td>\n		The extremely important promise of God to preserve His Word intact has been altered into another meaning by the Westcort-Hort.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5. [23] Isaiah 14:12<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer<\/strong>, son of the morning!<\/td>\n12 How you have fallen from heaven,
\nmorning star<\/strong>, son of the dawn!<\/td>\n		\u201cMorning Star\u201d is a name of the Lord Jesus ([27] Revelation 22:16<\/strong><\/span>). The Westcott-Hort gave this name to Lucifer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6. [27] Daniel 3:25<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God<\/strong>.<\/td>\n25 He said, \u201cLook! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods<\/strong>.\u201d<\/td>\nIs Jesus a son of multiple gods or The Son of God?<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

To be fair, the taste of this bean sucks, but it is very nutritious and a \u201ccomplete\u201d protein, containing ALL the amino acids that the human body needs, including methionine, which locusts usually lack (thus if John the baptist was eating locusts instead of locust beans, he would be in severe malnutrition, or even dead).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9. [01] Matthew 5:22<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause<\/strong> shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (*), shall be in danger of the council (**): but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.<\/td>\n22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, \u2018Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, \u2018You fool!\u2019 will be in danger of the fire of hell.<\/td>\n(*) \u201cRaka\u201d means “empty”, “worthless”, used to express contempt.
\n(**) \u201cSanhedrin\u201d is the highest Jewish council.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

[01] Matthew 5:37<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil<\/strong>.<\/td>\n37 All you need to say is simply \u2018Yes\u2019 or \u2018No\u2019; anything beyond this comes from the evil one<\/strong>.<\/td>\n\u201c\u03c0\u03bf\u03bd\u03b7\u03c1\u03bf\u03c5\u201d means evil in general, or wickedness. The Lord was teaching about being upright.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Its root word, h\u0113geomai, means \u201clead\u201d, and was translated as \u201cgovernor\u201d (or \u201cleader\u201d) in\u00a0[01] Matthew 2:6<\/strong><\/span>. This \u201ckathegetes\u201d word only appeared 3 times in the whole Bible, once in this verse 8 and twice in the below verse 10, showing very clearly that the possition of supreme authority in the church belongs to Christ and Him alone, no one is allowed to take it to himself.
\n(**) In the Lord, teachers are not forbidden. But while teaching one another, we do so as brothers admonishing one another, with each person always willing to listen and learn to receive the instructions the Lord sent, even through the very brethren that were taught by us.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

II) Errors of the Textus Receptus (of the English King James) compared to the Majority Text.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When translating the King James over 400 years ago, the translators back then hadn’t found the 5.000+ manuscripts of the Majority Text that we have today, and they had to make do in many places because they had so few manuscripts to determine which rendering was the original text. But now these spots, where in former times had only a few manuscripts, now have more than enough, and thanks to that we can now determine the original rendering.<\/p>\n

The comparison chart below will list down a few most critical errors that affect doctrines. Note that besides these, there is also the error in [05] Acts 20:28<\/strong><\/span> that has already been presented above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

But the Catholic church \u2013 even though they could provide only one manuscript that dated even to the XV century (Codex Montfortianus \u2013 GA 61) \u2013 had used their position of power to force Eramus to put it in. And he did. Nowadays we can confirm that this added text really was added, nowhere found in the Majority Text manuscripts.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
